McKeesport Seniors to Benefit From U. S. Steel Irvin Plant's Day of Caring Activities

On Thursday, Sept. 5, approximately 80 United Way Day of Caring volunteers from U. S. Steel's Irvin Plant will be working in cooperation with the City of McKeesport Housing Authority to paint the exterior face of Steelview Manor, an 88-unit hi-rise apartment building for senior citizens. Using brackets fabricated at the Irvin Plant, volunteers will also be installing about 150 flower planters to the balcony railings at two senior citizen hi-rise apartment buildings. This is the third year volunteers from Irvin Plant have worked with the McKeesport Housing Authority to improve living conditions for senior citizens.
