On Tuesday, October 24, 2006, United States Steel Corporation (NYSE: X) will host federal and local dignitaries to announce the official opening of its world-class research and technology center in Munhall, Pa. The investment in this high-tech center provides a more efficient operating environment and upgraded facilities to enhance the company's research efforts. The center employs 110 research and technical personnel who provide a broad range of support to the company through advances in product and process technology.
