The site, created by the company's automotive group, contains innovative information on steel research and development along with descriptions of the mechanical properties and characteristics of current and emerging automotive steel grades, including DUAL-TEN™ and TRIP steels. The technical and commercial data on the website can be used by automotive engineers and designers to select the most appropriate material for a specific application. "U. S. The automotive steel technology section of the website provides comparisons of the mechanical characteristics of a variety of steels used in automotive manufacturing. In addition to information about U. S. Steel's facilities, quality policy and certifications, the commercial/sales section provides technical information about the company's sheet steels. The automotive laboratory area describes the wide array of mechanical and CAE testing available at the automotive center. Registered customers can log in to a secure area of the website for specific information about their ongoing relationship with U. S. Steel's automotive group. "U. S.
