USSI Announces Opening of Acero Prime's New Logistics CenterPRNewswire PITTSBURGH, April 23 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ -- United States Steel International, Inc. (USSI), a subsidiary of USX Corporation, announces the opening of Acero Prime's new logistics center located in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico near Monterrey. Acero Prime is USSI's Mexican joint venture with Feralloy Corporation and Intacero de Mexico S.A. de C.V. The new facility, which includes an in-bond warehouse, stores and manages steel coil inventories for just-in-time delivery. To highlight the facility's capabilities, Acero Prime-Ramos Arizpe hosted an open house attended by more than 80 customers and other guests. Among them were Ernesto Beyer, representative of Coahuila's governor, and Roberto Gutierrez, mayor of Ramos Arizpe. Acero Prime's other facility, about 300 miles away in San Luis Potosi, is a state-of-the-art operation providing logistics, warehousing and other high- quality services. Beginning in June 2000, the facility underwent a major expansion, doubling its size and capacity.
